Researchers at CRISP work to develop innovative approaches for engaging key partners and addressing complex community challenges. We collaborate with local organizations to evaluate the effectiveness of their programs and explore strategies for navigating social policy concerns. Through both quantitative and qualitative research, we aim to inform and involve stakeholders on issues that influence community well-being. Empowering stakeholders to effect change in their communities
Culturally informed perspectives
Our team is trained to approach issues with an awareness of how demographic, cultural, and structural factors influence outcomes across different population groups.

Our research spans a multitude of topical areas focusing on how the intersection of these factors influences variations in outcomes across different populations. We conduct needs assessments and develop metrics to evaluate organizational practices and identify areas for improvement in access and outcomes.
We assess trends in neighborhood school performance, school-provided social services, and student outcomes.
We conduct analyses on homeownership, rental, eviction, and other housing trends. We also analyze and evaluate homelessness intervention and prevention strategies.
We analyze the effectiveness of programs and wraparound services that aim to reduce poverty in communities.
We examine how federal policies and local regulations influence the experiences of immigrants within their communities.
We analyze the challenges facing neighborhoods that have experienced limited access to resources and opportunities, and how local policies and initiatives affect them.
We examine root causes of crime-related activities in neighborhoods.
We evaluate programs and evidence-based practices that aim to improve outcomes for youth and families.
Our work prioritizes the perspectives of people who are most affected by programs and policies to ensure they are equitable, effective, and improve their quality of life.
